Back to art
And not what I've normally been doing either! I've been making art rather than appearing in it! I've joined the world of ATCards.com and been having fun swapping ATC's!!!!!!!!
An ATC is 2.5 by 3.5 inches (64 by 89 mm) and has to be traded with someone else- apart from the ones I really like (obviously!)... so, I've been sending and receiving art works from all over the world! USA, Canada, England, Australia and France so far!
great fun and well worth a try!

Boatbird has her own Blog!
Ah well. As Boatbird seems to have taken over in the on-line world, I thought it about time she got her own blog...
(and no, I don't have problems, I'm a Gemini. 'Nuff said.)
So, here is the Boatbird side of the things!

Having fun online
Well, I've been having lots of fun on-line recently. I've joined Swap-Bot and met some truly fantastic people and made some new friends.
I've found people I went to school with on Facebook.
I've sent loads of emails and letters and postcards.
And had tons of fun doing it!

On another topic, I paid for some hosting today for my website having got fed up of wiserhosting.com. I am going with cheapdomains.uk.com where I bought my domain name from- and I am getting 1Gb of space for the same price David is paying for 150Mb.....

Back in England
Dad's birthday tomorrow (60!!!) so here I am freezing everything off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think I could cope with living here anymore- it's so damn busy, noisy, dirty and cold above everything! The shops are too big, everything is way too expensive and I can't mentally cope with the amount of choice in the supermarkets...
Missing David isn't fun either :-(

One of Those Days
You ever had one of those days? Where nothing seemed to go right?
Yup, today was my day...
Was asked to work today to cover the manager so she could have the day to spend with friends from the UK. Not a problem!
This morning the internet connection died- as I'm at an internet cafe, this was pretty important so I contacted Cyta. Wasn't anything I could deal with so I *had* to call S. Didn't want to but had to.
She spent an hour at the Cyta offices trying to sort it out and came back with a 'It'll be back on in an hour'
Was it? Nope!
Hour and a half later rang the buy at Cyta again- who by now knew me by name! Fax me this he said. So I did. S panicking by now and comes back, speaks to Cyta on the phone- on in five minutes says the guy.
It was back on in three...
Server machine our end crashed twice after that...
And this evening I forgot that I was supposed to be modelling at the art college.
Embarrassed, angry at myself, you name it! But the good thing is that N was ok, he had tried ringing me but got 'this phone is turned off'. But he booked me to start the next term!! Goody goody! Back to the life modelling hurrah! Week after I get back from the UK I am back there with a provisional booking for next week too if someone doesnt get back to him...

HSL 2625
A sad end for a fine boat. I have some of her service history if anyone is interested, please get in touch. She was sold out of service and the rumour was, she was used for smuggling which caused her to be shot (hence the hole in the side) and was taken out of the water to rot and go to ruin in a backyard in Limassol. Such a waste- but good to see that the engines etc might have found a home elsewhere!
